Legal use of Social Saver — what you may save and how to report abuse.

Last updated: August 2, 2026

Your responsibility

Social Saver is a technical tool. You are responsible for how you use it. Downloading, storing, or resharing media may implicate copyright law, platform terms of service, and privacy rights. Zoe Apps does not provide legal advice — when in doubt, consult a qualified professional or obtain permission from the rights holder.

Generally permitted uses

  • Saving videos and photos you created and posted for personal backup.
  • Downloading content you licensed or purchased with explicit download rights.
  • Saving public content when the rights holder gave you direct permission.
  • Archival uses allowed under applicable law in your jurisdiction (varies by country).

Uses that are not permitted

  • Redistributing someone else's copyrighted videos without permission.
  • Re-uploading downloads to other platforms to claim ownership or earn revenue.
  • Bypassing paywalls, subscription content, or DRM-protected streams.
  • Scraping private profiles or building unauthorized datasets of user content.
  • Harassing individuals by saving and sharing their private or limited-audience posts.

Platform terms

Supported platforms each publish Terms of Use that restrict how content may be copied and redistributed. Social Saver is not affiliated with any social network. Using our tool does not grant any rights beyond what the platform and copyright law already allow. We encourage users to read each platform's policies directly.

How we handle abuse

We may rate-limit, block, or terminate access for users or networks that appear to misuse the service for bulk scraping, piracy, or harassment. Operational logs help us detect abusive patterns. Legitimate personal use of public links is unaffected.

Reporting copyright infringement

If you believe content accessible through our service infringes your copyright, send a notice to mh.dxb17@gmail.com with the information required on our DMCA policy page, including:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work
  • The URL or description of the material on our service
  • Your contact information and a good-faith statement
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that your claim is accurate

We respond to valid notices according to applicable law. Repeat infringers may lose access.

Privacy of other people

Even when a download is technically possible, saving someone else's personal photos or videos without consent may violate their privacy. Temporary posts, DMs, and close-friends content deserve extra care. Our disappearing posts guide explains why many temporary post links fail by design.
